I’m officially back. The good news is this is the fastest I’ve ever returned to working out after an event I did any long-term training for. The bad news is I have an extra 9lbs from Ironman Texas that I have to lose. All I can say is it was fun while it lasted.
I’m hoping my amazement in how fast my fitness level goes away, is second place to my amazement at how fast I get it back. Time will tell. What I know from experience is that it is never too late to start over again. And again, and again.
My workouts last week were:
Tuesday – Morning jogged of 2.5 miles on the treadmill.
Wednesday – Morning spin class for 55 minutes. Afternoon swim of 800 meters freestyle.
Thursday – Whined about being sore. I guess that doesn’t count.
Friday – Morning spin class, the last one for awhile with my favorite instructor at my gym.
Not a bad week. My back had been is acting up a bit so I’m taking it kind of slow.
