Well the MS150 didn’t go quite as planned. Rain was forecast for the entire weekend. We got lucky and only had some minor rain in the morning that quit just as we started. I started off the day with a flat which I paid the support team to change. Then had another flat about 7 miles in, which my friend Kevin changed for me. Then when I arrived at the first aid station they realized my tire took a lot of damage and needed to be replaced. SHEEEEEESH.
This is on top of just having my rim replaced the week before due to it having several cracks in it. Who knew fundraising could be so expensive.
So on top of all that, the ride really beat me up. My back was especially bothering me. I was a little lite in my training. I tried some longer spin classes to make up for not going as often. That didn’t seem to work as well. Plus I missed one of my long rides due to the cold weather. Basically I didn’t work out enough. Lesson learned.
